All honing stones, regardless of manufacturer, may vary in thickness from end to end. While often unnoticed, these variations can affect performance when using the SharpMate system.

Using precision shims, you can level the stone and improve sharpening consistency across the length of the stone. This kit provides four precision shims that can be used individually or stacked to level the stone and improve blade contact.
